The 1762-L40AWA is a MicroLogix 1200 controller. This is an Allen-Bradly programmable logic controller (PLC) designed with embedded input and output channels as well as communication and programming ports.
The 1762-L40AWA is also equipped with two (2) fine tuning potentiometers that can be used to simulate internal registers or for local control as a process variable. These trimmer potentiometers are located on the front panel of the controller and can be adjusted using a precision screwdriver.
The 1762-L40AWA has one (1) communication port in the form of an 8-pin mini-DIN physical interface. The communication port supports DF1, serial DH485, ASCII, and MODBUS master/slave protocols. This port can be used to download and upload user programs, interface with Human machine interface (HMI), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
The 1762-L40AWA is powered by providing an external 100-240VAC supply voltage at a frequency of 47-63 Hz. It can withstand 25 A surge current (8 ms @ 120 VAC) and 40 A surge current (4 ms @ 240 VAC). Its power usage is 80 VA.
