The photovoltaic inverter market has the characteristics of large market capacity and fast growth rate. For different application scenarios, the power level of the inverter is also very different. In the large family of photovoltaic inverters, series inverters due to their small size, flexible installation and diversified use scenarios, the overall shipment has shown a trend of rapid growth in recent years, and the maximum power range of a single series inverter has also increased year by year.
Figure 1 is a typical photovoltaic power generation system, the main function of the inverter is to convert the fluctuating direct current of the panel into alternating current with the same frequency as the grid voltage. The power unit of series photovoltaic inverter can be divided into booster unit (DC/DC) and inverter unit (DC/AC) from the circuit structure. The boost unit is used to achieve maximum power tracking (MPPT) of the panel, depending on the connection mode of the panel and the power level of the inverter, the boost unit can be one or multiple channels. The inverter unit is used to convert the DC voltage to the grid-connected voltage of the power frequency, and finally to the grid through the isolation transformer.
