The IC695ALG112 is a PACSystem RX3i Programmable Automation controller (PAC) module used as an analog input module with eight (8) single-ended input channels configurable to receive a variety of voltage and current signals. Examples include 0-10 VDC (unipolar), -10 to +10 VDC (bipolar), +/- 5VDC, 0 to 5VDC, 1-5VDC and 0-20 mA, and 4-20 mA. It has a built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that converts data to floating-point or integer format with 16-bit resolution. The module is typically used to connect instruments that generate the above signals for further processing, such as scaling and manipulation, in order to be able to provide correct readings in human machine interface (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), distributed control system (DCS), etc. It is also used by proportional + integral + differential (PID) controller and other control algorithms to realize automatic control.
