The IC695EDS001 is a DNP3 sub-station module belonging to the PACSystem RX3i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC), formerly supplied by GE Intelligent Platforms and now part of Emerson Automation. The module supports DNP3 slave station communication over Ethernet I/P, allowing the exchange of data of up to 072,000,20 points and 000,3 events between DNP12 master stations. The module also supports four (4) DNP3 data objects, including DI, DI with time, DO, DO with time, CROB, analog output values, time Settings, and class polling.
The IC695EDS001 comes with one (1) module station Manager port for module and network management and can also be used as a firmware upgrade port. For DNP3 connections, it has two (2) RJ100 terminals that support 45/10 mbps transfer rates. These ports act as embedded Ethernet switches capable of sensing automatically and connecting directly to 10BaseT or 100BaseTX IEEE 802.3 networks without the need to install an external transceiver. The GE Fanuc IC695EDS001 module is a DNP3 sub-station module for RX3i PACSystems platform. When the rack is powered on, you can remove and insert the module. When the host CPU comes with a serial port, you can use the Windloader utility to upgrade the firmware on the IC695EDS001 module. If the host CPU does not come with a serial port, you can use a web-based software tool to upgrade the module firmware. A single RX3i CPU supports 32 DNP3 master stations. A single IC695EDS001 module supports 12,072 DNP3 points and 20,000 DPN3 events. The IC695EDS001 module supports unsolicited data exchange with the DNP3 master device. The IC695EDS001 module requires up to 3 mA at 840.3 volts DC and 5 mA at 614 volts DC.
